Water Supply Project

The overall objective of the project is to improve the existing service level of the drinking water supply system. People, who are living in unhygienic areas, hazard their health by drinking unsafe water from open locally constructed storage facilities, so it is quite essential to improve their health and living standards by providing them with safe and drinkable water to their doorstep.

Motivate the people by providing them proper guidance for making better use of their spare time, this is saved them from spending in search of getting enough water for their routine life and in this way helps them to increase their per capita income indirectly

Fagvel, India

The village is located in Kathlal Taluka of Kheda District in the State of Gujarat

Village Details

According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Fagvel village is 517403. Fagvel village is located in Kathlal Tehsil of Kheda district in Gujarat, India. It is situated 27km away from sub-district headquarters Kathlal and 52km away from district headquarters Nadiad.

 

The village has a population of 7986 of which 4043 are males while 3943 are females as per Population Census 2011.

ESTIMATED COST

The cost of the project is estimated at Rs 2,12,27,386.00/- Net, based on the Gujarat Water Supply Sewerage Board Schedule Of Rates 2021-22

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD

It is proposed to complete the project within one year.

DESIGN CRITERIA

The following design criteria are adopted for preparing the WASMO water supply project:

  • Design Period

    • The Design period for the scheme is for 30 years.

  • Population Projection

    • As per the WASMO standard Guidelines, if the Present Population is more than 8000 then calculate Ultimate Population Projection based on 1.7 Factors

  • Storage Structure

    • The Storage structure capacity is designed based on Present Population (2021).

  • Peak Factor

    • The peaking factor for the design purpose of the distribution network is taken as 3.0., as well as Distribution Main is also 3.0.

  • Pipe Line & Material.

    • The PVC 6kg\Cm2 Pipe will be used up to 300mm Dia. Further Pipe Diameter with greater the 300mm, DI/ HDPE pipe will be used.

  • Residual pressure /Head

    • The minimum effective head at the tail end is kept at 7.00 M  

  • Head Loss

    • The Min Head loss is 0.001m per Km and Max Head Loss considered is 3 m per Km.

  • Coefficient of roughness for use in the Hazen-Williams formula

    • The C Value for PVC Pipe for Design Purposed is considered as “140” and in the case of DI pipe it is “130”​
